This is an advanced course that teaches earth living skills relevant to our region. Through hands-on projects and challenges, campers will have the chance to practice a range of skills such as making friction fire, pottery, basketry, stone tool construction, making bark and wooden bowls, crafting arrows, building advanced shelters, and gathering wild edibles.
These skills will be put to the test during an overnight experience on Thursday, when campers will get a chance to do things like sleep in a survival shelter they built, gather wild food for a feast, make a camp fire by rubbing sticks together, and eat dinner out of a wooden bowl they made. Campers are picked up Friday morning at 10am after their overnight.
*PLEASE NOTE – In the event that we cannot host an overnight (i.e. due to weather), this camp will revert to the typical schedule of M-F 9am-3pm.
